Tim Carpenter
Chief Executive Officer
Tim Carpenter is co-founder and CEO of ConceptHR. He is a resident of Aiken, South Carolina and a graduate of the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina. He received a Bachelor Degree in both Insurance and Economic Security and Marketing. Tim is also a graduate of the Career Agent School in Milwaukee, WI.
In 1985, he became an agent and broker dealer for Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company specializing in life insurance, disability income, and investment needs. During his tenure with NML, Tim sold over $100,000,000 of combine insurance coverage. Tim started ConceptHR with a vision of offering a more effective and efficient way for small business owners to manage their HR related functions. ConceptHR has hundreds of clients representing thousands of employees in 39 states using its HR platform. Tim is involved with all aspects of ConceptHR, such as creating current business models, banking, legal, accounting, operations, business development, public relations, sales, product design and product pricing. Tim is also involved with a number of other entities as business advisor, stockholder and managing partner.
His memberships include Chamber of Commerce, Palmetto Golf Club, Houndslake Golf Club, Green Boundary Club, Sage Valley Golf Club and St. John United Methodist Church.
Chad Matthews
Chief Operating Officer
Chad Matthews is co-founder and COO of ConceptHR. He is a lifelong resident of Aiken, SC and a graduate of the University of South Carolina-Aiken School of Business where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree with a concentration in Finance and a minor in Communications.
While attending USCA he served as a College Agent for Northwestern Mutual Life and was ranked 9th college agent in the company in sales. He maintains insurance licenses in both Life, Health, & Accident and Property & Casualty lines along with his certification of Professional in Human Resources (PHR) designation as issued by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). His certifications and training equip him and his staff to serve the changing human resource needs of ConceptHR’s diverse clientele.
With a passion for business and helping businesses grow, Chad has equity positions and management direction in other businesses including homecare and real estate entities. Chad has been appointed to serve on various boards including: The University of SC-Aiken Partnership Board & Executive Committee, USC-A Alumni Board, Aiken County Transportation Committee, Aiken County Property Tax Appeals Board, Aiken Technical College Business Advisory Board, and The Community Medical Clinic of Aiken County. He is a member of the following clubs and organizations: Rotary Club of Aiken, The Green Boundary Club, Houndslake Country Club, Aiken Businessmen’s Club, and Millbrook Baptist Church.
Ginger Henson
Chief Financial Officer
Ginger B. Henson is CFO of ConceptHR. She moved to Aiken in the Fall of 1991 during her junior year of college at the University of South Carolina-Aiken, fell in love with the area and has been a resident of the City of Aiken ever since. Ginger holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree with a concentration in Accounting from the University of South Carolina-Aiken School of Business. With 6 years of accounting experience, Ginger was hired as a payroll coordinator/staff accountant with ConceptHR in July of 2000. Within a year of being hired, Ginger was made Operations Manager and began to oversee all areas of operation. As ConceptHR grew, Ginger continued to take on more responsibilities and advanced within the ranks with 25 years of accounting experience and 19 years of employment at ConceptHR.
In her role as CFO, Ginger is highly involved in all areas at ConceptHR and is directly responsible for all aspects of accounting and payroll administration for ConceptHR’s clients. Additionally, she continues to be an integral part of the day-to-day operations as well as managing the tax department. Her passion for accounting and “take charge” attitude make her the “go to girl” when it comes to tackling issues and projects that require an analytical mind. Throughout her years at ConceptHR she has served on many boards in Aiken including: The University of SC-Aiken Alumni Board, Executive Board of the Aiken Junior Woman’s Club and Mead Hall Booster Club. She is a member of the following clubs and organizations: The Green Boundary Club, Houndslake Country Club, Gamecock Club and Union Lutheran Church, Leesville SC. Ginger currently resides in the city of Aiken with her husband of 23 years, Carl Henson, and their 21 year old daughter, Hyler.
